I really enjoyed working with today's Color Challenge colors, so while the kids were making crafts this afternoon, I joined them and did my own craft (and used up some of those plum scraps from this morning).
Inspired by a craft we saw in Family Fun magazine, I used four heart punches and two five-petal flower punches to construct my plum colored posie. The stem is a length of embroidery floss. The leaf is a wide oval punch, folded in half (and tapered a bit with scissors), which was run through my paper crimper. I gave the perfect plum background a tone-on-tone pattern with Versamark ink and my SU Very Vintage jumbo wheel. Sponged the edge of the flower petals and created the pale plum sentiment with the poppin' pastels technique.
Lots of fun on a snowy afternoon! Thanks for taking a peek,
Emily

Emily, you are doing such amazing work. I'm in love with this card and the purples, not to mention you use of the punches. What a fantastic job you've done!! TFS!

The green elements really stand out on this card! I love the green brad center and that leaf is FAB and how you curved the floss for a stem. Again, my eyes are drawn to the frame and sentiment. I wish I had ordered that set now... LOL.
