This is for today's Inspiration Challenge, #218, the gallery of an artist named Erte'. Wow, what an amazing gallery! I chose this piece, a bronze sculpture called *Le Danseur* (The Dancer) as my inspiration. (You need to copy/paste the entire link)
I made this into a piece to be framed instead of a card, since I figured my son would be more likely to keep it than *just a card!* He was very worried about 2 major exams in medical school, but he took them and aced them (Yay David!) and I am so proud of him. The sentiment reads, simply, *You Did It!* (Doesn't show up in the scan, but is stamped under the dancer in gold ink.)
The dancer (Yeah, that's me, whoopin' and hollerin'! LOL!) is an unknown UM; the BG is a monoprint done direct to a blank piece of rubber. The edges were punched with the SU Step corner punch, sides removed. I used strips of DP to give it *movement*, added just a tiny bit of bling, and there it is! It measures 6 1/2 by 7 inches.
I'm tickled with how this came out. Thanks for looking, and I hope you like it too!
Hugggs!

See I know Maddy better than she knows herself. As soon as I saw todays inspiration site I knew exactly which image Maddy would reach for!! And I was right! Love the bg and the movement the piece has. And congrats to David! He is so like our Andrew in many ways. TFS your delightful work today. :-)

Way to go Mom and son David. You've both done very well. Your son is sure to keep "Mom dancing with happiness" and use it as an inspiration piece for the next time.

Let me just assure you Maddy, I love how your card/framed art work came out too. Wow, is this ever striking. I have no idea how you created that top panel but it certainly is striking, as is the design too. Yay is right for David and yes, I can certainly appreciate how proud you must be to have a Dr. in the house.
