This card is for today's Teapot Tuesday Challenge: what do snowman do at night? My particular snowman has been a bit depressed by the unrelenting dark at the north pole. When he heard that there were guests expected for a party (we're all visiting for a tea party and spying on the snowman too), he got excited thinking that maybe this was a Solstice Celebration and the dark would be receding. He even went out with a bunch of bird houses, hoping that might encourage Spring to arrive a bit sooner. I haven't got the heart to tell him that it will be dark for a while longer.
Image was stamped and colored with markers. Then I masked the snomman and sponged in layers of color for the sky. I added home made flower soft and glitter for snow. Layered, added a greeting and then some punched snowflakes.
What do you think? Should we tell him that winter will be staying for a while or just let him keep smiling and waiting to welcome the birds.
Edit: I almost didn't make it to the tea party as I had the wrong code, but it's fixed now, so I hope to see you all soon!

Ooooo! This is so pretty in the various shades of blues and the lavender accent, Kathy! I'm with Anne about SU retiring such cute stamps. They should put us on their Board of Decision Makers on what to retire and what not to retire, huh? In any event, this is such a cute card, Kathy. I'm glad you finally made it; I hope it wasn't Bertie trying to lead you astray.
