I made this for the teaparty. Maureen so graciously is hostessing the party today. She picked the sweetest little rose teapot. I made these little paper roses after seeing these roses that Joanne made. The paper that I used for the roses was a piece of typing paper. I inked my brayer with, pinks, red, yellows and peach ink and rolled it over the typing paper. Then I used various punches to make the roses. The two biggest roses were made with a scallop circle punch. Each has 10 layers. They are held together in the centers with a brad. I scrunched (and that is the technical term) the layers around the brad. The medium sized flower was made with 6 layers of my 5 petal ek success flower punch. The little ones were 5 layers of my 5 petal ek succcess mini flower punch.

Wow! Who would think a piece of typing paper could ever look this good.
These are beautiful roses and I am so impressed with all the layers. You certainly can come in the front door with this card.

What wonderful texture and colour - lovely to see a butterfly. You'll be hand-delivering this one, I am sure, to some lucky recipient, who will be blessed by your lovely verse as well as the card.

Bertie was just telling me that she saw you making these gorgeous roses this morning and she knew you were going to steal the show today. She wasn't a-kiddin'!! Wowie! These are gorgeous, my friend! I appreciate your explaining how you made them. You are just way too clever for me (and Bertie, too, but don't tell her I told you that).
Oh, yeah. Bertie also said that you can't have any of the special tea drink until you sing a country song. Seems she wants to hear everyone sing today. I saw her trudging off to go talk to Maureen about it. She has this thing about following rules.
Anywhooooo, I'm so glad to see you, again, this week!

My goodness Marilyn! These roses are amazing! Brilliant! Awesome! And are going straight into my favs. Brilliant! Do you believe I love this yet?? And to think you came up with this clever idea without drinking any of Berties laced tea! TFS
