Todays challenge was to try something OUT OF THE BOX ~
well anything computer related is soooooo out of the box for me ~ so i forged ahead and purchased "digital stamps". it took 2 emails and my husbands help to even figure where the dang things were and how to size them.
I LOVE these images from http://whimsiedoodles.blogspot.com/
so my venture into the non rubber, non-cling area has begun.
the image is from WhimsieDoodles, i used nursery papers and then mimicked the cross stitches in the corner.
the image is colored with prisma pencils and gamsol, i was surprised that nothing smudged!
his little buttons are little pearl stickers from Michaels, his white is outlined with a uniball pen, and my ribbon is from scrapbooking store.
so that is my venture dipping my toes into the pool of digital, if you will.
#sorry so long winded#
p.s. i wanted to test the *coloring* so i practiced on plain old computer paper ~ and used it! http://janice-overtherainbow.blogspot.com/

Oh Janice, you did great for your first foray into the world of digital images. I love the way you echoed the stitching on the paper with your cross-stitches, and the little currant buttons on the gingerbread man.

I was surprised too that computer ink doesn't smudge...my cheaper ink on the secondary computer does.
Cute image and nice color choices, great ribbon for the image too.

Good for you. I haven't made that leap yet. I have no one with computer skills to help me out either so that's why I'm too afraid to attempt it. This is really adorable! Love the image and your coloring.
