Sorry, not the best photo - but after two Windows installs today still left me with a flaky PC, I zapped my CMOS and I think I am up and running again at last - just a bit late for getting a good picture. I'll do better tomorrow.
This is for today's SC, and also for this week's CCEE challenge to use birds and bees.
White A2 base. Primas with translucent yellow micro-beads in the centre. A Hero Arts bird, stamped with Versafine Black on white card and coloured with H2Os. Sponged the edges, and then layered it up on more white, sponged those edges.
I wanted my bees to stand out, so I changed my original green strip to a white strip matted on green - but it does still follow the sketch. The bees are paper pieced - and I've just remembered I never coloured the eyes white. My desk is littrered with driver and program CDs, I'll find all my craft stuff again tomorrow and colour those eyes. They were just too small to piece.
The front wings on the bees are layered up on foam, stuck down at the body, and stickled. There are little Stardust trails which don't really show in the photo.
As I couldn't print, I used rub-ons to create a sentiment.
Thanks for the sketch, Roxie - it sent my birds and bees card in a totally different direction to what I had imagined.
The bird panel is popped up on thick foam tape.
