My first try with new colors and new sets -- probably the fastest card I ever made!
I layered Soft Suede, Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry. The Crushed Curry layer is stamped with Canvas in CC and the edges are sponged in Dusty Durango. I masked the sun onto the central image, then sponged Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango and Soft Suede. The wheat is stamped in on-and-off Soft Suede. It is all overstamped with Canvas in Sahara Sand and the spatter from Itty Bitty Backgrounds in Close to Cocoa.
The pheasant was stamped in Chocolate Chip craft ink on Dusty Durango cs and clear embossed.

First off, let me say that this is just beautiful!!! And I don't even like birds...lol! I did go ahead and preorder this set because I like all of the background stuff but I'm glad that I have it, especially since seeing your great card.
Now here's the interesting part....if this is the fastest card that you ever made, all I can think is "wow, how long does a regular card usually take you???" All the layers and stamping and overstamping and re-stamping and then you embossed and cut out the pheasant. That had to take some time! But truly it is a lovely card and I am so happy you shared it, made me feel better about buying the bird when I don't usually get birds. Jan

These are the CRAZIEST numbers (views, faves, comments) that I have EVER seen. And, well worth it, this card is gorgeous, and timely! Silly me, I thought I didn't NEED this set!
