Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends and a happy day to everyone around the world of SCS! You picked a great theme, Julia for the day. Please have a look!
And pardon me, I'm still on the corny side of the aisle...I just couldn't resist this clip art from the book Memories of a Lifetime---Animals. I printed in two sizes so I had the scale I wanted. My cardbase is a gorgeous double sided paper from MME. I used the new Layers 2 Spellbinder plate for the sentiment which I cut and pasted (literally!!!) adding silver snaps to the top. Behind the eagle is a script stamp from Hero Arts called Memories. I inked it up in VersaMark and embossed with clear ep. The eagle is popped on foam and glued to the base, I hand craved some of the wing feathers for dimension. Likewise, the turkey raised. I scissored the grass under the turkey for extra texture. The edges are finished off with a rolling # wheel in TH di frayed burlap and one of the SU thanks very much sentiment is over the memories on the right side.
I am so very thankful for my country, I pray that as a nation, we will continue to be strong for ourselves and to be good stewards of all God has given us. I pray for goodwill around the world and in our hearts. Thanks so much for looking and no matter where you are, may you enjoy this day and all its' possibilities!

Marvelous design! Did you know that Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be our national bird? He doesn't seem to have quite the demeanor or fortitude as the eagle--hehe!!!
