Hi! Today's card was made for the Technique Lover's Challenge: That's Odd: Make a card that is NOT a square or a rectangle, and it was made for today's Clean and Simple Challenge: laughter.
I decided that we needed to send a card to my buddy, NANCYRUTH. We spent Saturday at Busch Gardens, and I swear, during the safari tour, Markie and I must have mentioned our friend Nancyruth ten-twelve times. That woman's ears must have been burning!LOL And, we most certainly "FISHED" she had been there with us.
Since she has a PUNNY sense of humor, she will get a laugh out of it, I hope. This is a sneak peek of Fish You Were Here. (It will be released tomorrow.)
The card's odd shape is from a Spellbinders' Label die. I folded the card stock in half and then put the Spellbinder JUST ABOVE the fold so that it would NOT cut the fold. Easy! Then, I ran the front through a Tim Holtz Sizzix Texture Folder. I think this Cracked one looks like coral.
The background was stamped with the sentiment and a bit of seaweed. I used the Copic Airbrush to spray in the Ocean. The fish was stamped in VersaFine Onyx. I colored in the fish with Copics.
Finished Size at LONGEST areas: 4" x 3 1/2"

That's a lovely shape and I love the gorgeous fish. On Monday evening we ate in a restaurant that has a large aquarium with all kinds and colors of fish and I was just fascinated. I sat and watched the fish for an hour!
