Happy `Free For All' Friday. This week Robin has given us a Cuddly / Snugly challenge. I know my Unity Stamp image is more along the lines of cutie putootie, but little Charlotte looks very cuddly in her coat and Tweetie is snuggled into her hat...that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
The cards are smooth white cardstock and the gift tags are a heavy linen finish cardstock. The image and sentiment is stamped with Versafine ink then when completely dry, coloured with Distress Crayons.
I didn't want a full coloured effect so I just scribbled some Seedless Preserves (purple cards) and Peacock Feathers (Turquoise) on her jacket then using a dry finger I moved the colour a bit. Next step is to take a baby then very gently move some more of the colour in a gentle downward direction. Same was done with her hat except I wiped in a very small circular motion.
While the baby wipe was still wet and had the crayon residue on it, I placed a stencil over the card and `wiped' on the excess ink. I hope that makes sense, sometimes I don't even understand myself.
I am making a huge effort to use some of my 6"x 6" DP pads, unfortunately I have removed the covers from many of them (they are terrific for die-cuts and tag bases). About the best I can tell you is that these papers are NOT Graphic45 or BasicGrey, but I am leaning toward Prima and My Minds Eye.
I hope you have a happy, inky weekend and get some time to play along. The details for Robins fun challenge are here .

These cards and tags are so delightful Susie. You have inspired me to look at my 6x6 paper packs in a different way. Congratulations on being selected as a favorites so many times- how fun - and so deserving too! ~Karen.

These are so lovely, Susie. Cute in every way possible and brilliantly done Susie-style with fun little touches. You do cutie-putootie so well. Love the colors too. Many hugz!
PS - I don't tear the cardboard - I cut it and then paint it with some white acrylic paint.

MY goodness these are so cute as well as beautiful! Your coloring is awesome... I have to look up the crayons....I just have the water color pencils. I do have brush ink but don't know if I can manipulate the colors with them, but 'm going to try. I'm just learning to color. Have a couple of cards up, but they sure don't look anywhere near as good as yours are!
