I'm glad I was able to combine yesterday's LSC w/ today's IC challenge. I started work on this yesterday, but didn't get very far. This set just came in the mail and I had to put the repositionable glue on the back and cut it apart. Took quite a bit longer than I bargained for. Up until yesterday, we had about 17% humidity. Then it started raining. Now I like to watch glue dry just as much as the next person, but it took FA-EV-AH. (Oh, note to self: next time rethink the part about putting the glue on before cutting it apart.)
For the IC, I took my inspiration from Victorian tag [/URL]. I loved the vase of flowers on top.
So today, I made my faux dp for the LSC by sponging on the pink and green chalk inks on the bottom of white c/s. Then I stamped some flourishes Sitting Pretty by FireCracker Designs w/ the same chalk inks and also w/ the black ink. Then I added a little white w/ the galaxy marker. This is actually a faux layer. I masked off the center area before coloring and stamping, then drew a black frame. This card is really just the image layer then the card front.
On the image layer, I stamped the vase. then masked and did the flowers. I stamped a few extra carnations and layered some of the petals after coloring w/ markers.
The sentiment (same set) was stamped and punched w/ a word window tag (this was allowed in the LSC, but only for the sentiment.) I used a lt pink marker on the ribbon (also allowed in the LSC) and attached my sentiment on top w/ a scrap of black c/s behind the ribbon. I edged the panel w/ a pink marker and then a black marker and attached it w/ foam tape to the faux layered card front.
