This is for DTGD08Laurie and DTGD08Jody Monday challenges. I pulled out my Kittie Kits Outdoor set and stamped the images with versa on vellum and gold embossed. I distressed the vellum edges and then sponged Old Papaer and Vintage Photo DIstress ink over the paper to create an aged look. I did my best to darken the edges but vellum is really not great for distressing as it is so stiff. I took a pice of white cardstock and used both of the distress inks all around the borders but left the center fairly white so the scene would show up well. I distressed the edges on this layer as well as the chocolate brown layer. I used the SU punch to create holes like going down the side of an old tablet and wove my gold organdy ribbon through it. I tied three knots to fit along the side and then I heated with the gun to pucker and age the ribbon.
This was a real step out of my norm this evening but I wanted to be able to play in both challenges.
