I ended up making a faux envelope with a faux technique!
The circles were stamped on a roof found in Home Depot's magazine (I don't have many magazines!) embossed in gold and cut out. I then mounted them on cs to give them a little bit of strength. I originally had three, but didn't like what was happening so I got rid of one and cut the other in 1/2.
I wanted to use a 1/2 circle on the card, when I added the circles, it remined me of an old fashion envelope. So I went with that idea. I found a piece of ds with some writing on it. I added brads to the circles and wound gold cording around that to look like the old ties. I added gold embossed dots to the outside edge of the 'envelope' and a strip to the 'flap' of the 'envelope'. Distressed the tags and put the two on top on with and eyelet brad that I embossed in gold.
I am actually quite pleased with how this turned out. It was not where I was going, but I like where I ened up!
Thanks for Looking.
Have a great day!

I like where you ended up also! And I looked and did see those roof shingles. Great idea and super challenge. Isn't that what it's all about thinking outside the box...now I see turtles where flowers once were!!!
