IÂ’m having some fun with alcohol inks and embossing. I saw a fabulous poster online and borrowed similar colors for my background.
-For better control of the inks I cut the background panel into sections, added color with alcohol inks, taped it back together and heat embossed with the CHF Weave Backgrounder using a clear powder and it has great texture without hiding the color.
-The flower image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits then heat embossed with two coats of clear powder; this helps brighten the color. To cut the straight line between the image lines I used a straight edge Coluzzle template then cut around the image with scissors.
-The image panel is popped up with foam squares.
I found the iris image at our local one of kind dollar store, who could pass up that dollar find! All other images are from Cornish Heritage Farms.

Gorgeous and I love the idea of cutting the background apart and reassembling like this! It gives such a fabulous look to the card! And a dollar for that iris!!!!!!!!! Oh my, what a fantastic find and a better than great bargain!

Love this card! I do love alcohol inks. I love that you used alcohol inks and then used clear EP over top to give is some texture but keeps the colour. I'm going to have to try that.

This card is just stunning. I've just acquired some alcohol inks and was looking for inspiration - and here is this beautiful card. I've also just gotten some primsacolor pencils, so this will be a perfect card to model. TFS. Jane
