I did this card for Sketch Challenge 118. I realized the other day that I don't have any birthday cards for the men in my life so I thought I'd better make some.
I started out wanting to do something with my linen background. So I used close to cocoa, stamped it off twice and then put it on some very vanilla. Then I stamped the leaves and used my daubers to ink in some ctc and old olive color onto the leaves ( I don't have the true thyme ink and wanted to use that color for my card base). It worked.
I then inked the edges in ctc, matted it on some thyme cs and then on some black. I used the acorn as a background on some more vanilla for the angle piece. I sponged a bit of ctc on them and along the edges. I matted this on some black cs but the angles were hard to cut so it didn't work out too good - yikes. I ended it off with a home-made tag, black eyelet and some natural hemp. me
edit: I see my photo is a bit washed out -- imagine more of the true thyme color - thanks
What do you think -- would a guy appreciate this???

What a great idea for a masculine card!
