This is a tutorial by Dina and I am using the wet-into-wet technique. You dilute your ink with water, color a section (petals here) and let dry somewhat but not completely. Put down more color for darker areas. The wetter, the more blending out. I like to call it feathering and love it watch it do that. For even darker shading, let it be almost dry and add more color. You don't want bleeding. I'm coloring the underneath petals darker.
Dina's tutuorial is very helpful and easy to understand so just follow it and you'll be fine.
I did use VersaMark and embossed my image before watercoloring because the ink I stamped with kept bleeding no matter how much drying.
After coloring my petals, I mixed the the fired brick and mowed green inks together for the stems and leaves. I didn't want them to be too bright green.
Add my sentiment, did some splats, and all done. Fun!!!
