It's been a super busy time for me (and DH), but I wanted to join in Power Poppy's "5 Days of Digis" event. It helped to get my mojo going again, and I even tried a new technique. First, I decided to use the allover digital image. I colored the flowers different colors and then colored in the background. Unfortunately, the coral and the magenta daisies are hard to tell apart in this photograph. But it reminds me of a fabric pattern, don't you think? Struggled as always with what to do next - ha! Well, that's when I decided I would "go for it" and try the camouflage die technique (also known as eclipse, I'm told). Woohoo! I die cut the "hugs" die from my floral piece (a bit scary at first - ha!) and then cut three layers of Not Quite Navy. I glued the floral "fabric" to Not Quite Navy and matted it, and then I glued all the navy letters together with the final floral letters on top. It's camouflaged, but held sideways, you can see a bit of blue and feel the "hugs" die with your hands. It's sort of like a touch-and-feel card -- much like a real hug! I used a Soft Sky card base, and I rounded two of the corners for some interest. I really enjoyed making this card, and I hope my mojo keeps on going! There are four more digis I hope to play with, but we'll see! ;)
Thanks so much for taking a peek at my card, and I hope you like it and will check out this FREE digital download. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and keep cool!! Hugs! xoxo
