The Inspiration site is Replacements, LTD. It's a beautiful site & I have used their wonderful replacement service in the past to fill in missing or broken pieces of china. They also helped me identify some crystal that belonged to my great grandmother. While I was browsing the casual china, I happened upon THIS picture. It looked like a Cinco de Mayo fiesta to me so I went w/ a southwest theme.
To make the serape on the side, I used two plaid images, which until you stamp them across each other, are just stripes. I inked the stripes using Tombow markers in red, yellow & green then colored a wide strip & used fringe scissors on it to make the lower border. The image was stamped, colored & die cut w/ a little out of the box to keep the boot tip & rope from being cut off. I used Prismacolor pencils to add the sunset colors behind the image. For the greeting, I stamped it once in the Morocco ink, moved it a tad & stamped it again in brown ink to get the slight shadow.
Thanks so much for looking. Closeups, the inside & Copic/Tombow colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff
