Although my favorite stamp is usually the one that I am obsessed with at that moment, I do have to say that I have loved my outdoor stamps from Penny Black - I love to create scenes and their scenes, lamp-post, trees, animals and branch stamps have been so fun! This one is called Dressed in Snow.
As for a fave mixed media technique, I just can't stop sponging and splattering background with acrylic paint, then adding white gel pen for winter scenes!!
Stamped the scene using this technique: While you keep the stamp in the MISTI, you color the stamp section by section, with a combination of DI markers, ink cubes, and zig markers, then either spritz the stamp before stamping, or, add some water to the stamping with a narrow paintbrush till desired look is achieved, then - while leaving the stamp in the MISTI - clear emboss the whole image. Before embossing, I also added some versa-mark with a pen along the branches so as to look like snow was piled on the branches. The embossing allowed me to mask for the moon, sponge the sky, and then to splatter snow with white acrylic paint. Added some white gel pen snow for added effect. Stamped sentiment and removed the mask.
