over at Audrie's IC challenge tonight:100 Brilliant Color Combinations. I just couldn't stop her...she looked at eVEry 1, multiple times...I know she was looking for some beets...she just adores beets. td! But after consulting cousin Bernice, Eunice decided upon #89 Shadowy & Dramatic. Isn't it the more wonderful color for skin of a certain age?
I do hope you have not grown tired of the Bernice and Eunice show. It has been several years since they both made appearances for Valentines. my advice to you back in 2009 and Eunice is back in 2013 and a pink TEDDY for Bernice. It is a lot of fun to figure out ways to ink up old rubber and bring forth something new...especially with these wild cousins!
The background is another venture into my mixed media year long exploration (WanderLust 2016). I am learning to let go of perfection and allow for things to take on a mind of their own. The wild starry night is an example. I used the Dylan Reaveley wonky star stencil on white cs. The shimmery red/coral/pinky color is from ColourArte's Radiant Gel. When it was dry, I used Gelatos over the top, in the colors of #89, wiping to remove the Gelato's off the starts. I kept layering until I was pleased with the random combination of color.
Eunice was colored with Copics and her jewelry was tickled. If you go to the previous Eunice links, you will see how I changed up the scarf, sentiment, and accessories each time. I thought with such a bold bg, she needed a 'hula' skirt (up cycled garlic net in red) and the underskirt is half of a pink silk flower petal. I cut a crochet white cotton do-dad, using only two loops. The German scrap in copper acts as a belt. FUSSY cut her. Instead of using the sentiment around Eunice, I decided to emboss the I Love You confetti in the colors of my inspiration.
Thank you for visiting my girls today...they are a hoot and a half! Can you tell I adore them? Remember fixin' up a shoebox with crepe paper and heart shaped doilies in elementary school...I wish for you the bestest box of chocolates...

Eunice has been misbehaving during my absence, she removed her skirt!!! Don't worry, a dab of glue and double sided tape has her looking as fabulous as ever.
