This is for Misti's fun CAS challenge "Apples". Thanks to the encouragement and advice from Nancy CAS Littrell, I actually enjoyed making this card.
If I hadn't made this with my own hands, I wouldn't have known it was mine LOL. My favourite apples are Granny Smiths, but green is too hard for me to colour!!
I stamped Tweetie using Fired Brick (red) Distress Ink. I then smacked the ink pad onto a piece of aluminium foil and squirted a tiny amount of water in one corner. This gave me lots of shades of the one colour.
To get the darker shadow, I blended a tiny bit of walnut stain distress ink into the red ink. Walnut stain was used with a stencil.
I started out with a 4" square of hession...then I heard Nancy's voice (in my head, with an Australian accent of course) telling me "less is more"....so I pulled a few loose strands and the job is done!

OMG Susie....how did I miss your cute and creative shiny red Apple...Oops....camouflaged birdie on a bed of twigs? Love your lightly sponged stencil background too my friend.
Oh wow! This is brilliant!!! Best crazy bird yet!!!! You are amazing, Susie! Even though it's 11:30pm and I am almost seeing double, I have a huge smile on my face after seeing this clever card! Hugs!
