MMTPT165: For the big REUNION, of course I am bringing my saddle shoes with the RED gum soles. When I grew up in the 50's, these were a MUST! So were the white wool socks that had to be worn with them. Poodle skirts came and went, but these shoes were still a staple!! That is, until I moved in my Junior year in HS..........everyone wore flats and stockings. Boy! Was I out of sync!!
My 50th reunion was this year. Therefore, I think I am the go-to person for style for the teaparty!!
P.S. Inside it says "GASP!"

Congrats on your 50th reunion! How fun! I never had a pair of saddle shoes cause I came in at the tail end of the 50s but this is a GREAT pair! I don't even remember seeing any with red gum soles! Love 'em. And I love the colors/papers you used on your card. I can see them in a 50s diner! Super card!

Now that is just the cleverest thing, Anne, using a shoelace for an embellishment - this is darling, and just perfect for the teaparty challenge as well as fab use of these CC colors - I've missed the teaparty lately, and looking forward to getting back to it next week!

Oh, I SO remember wearing these for school too, Anne, what a great image for this card - and in all the 'right' colors! Your sentiment is a hoot too - especially inside!!
