We were to make a simple flat Valentine's Day card that can be made fast as if you were making 30 of them for kids classrooms. This is for the Limited Supplies Challenge. We were also to use red, black, pink, and white. Since I am Homeroom mom at my son's school and I'm always doing something different with things. I thought of this butterfly. This is actually pretty quick to do. Here is my story: I started out by doing the sentiment on the computer and printed it out on c/s. Next, I used the cb swirls folder. Then I started on the butterfly by using the cb swiss dots folder on a piece of red, pink, and white c/s. I then used various heart shapes punches. The big heart for the wings is a punch, the others are the cb hearts die cuts. I hand drew the face and added the googlie eyes. The antennas are hand drawn as well as the hearts on there too. The wings were attached first, then the body, then the face. I added 2 tiny punched hearts for the bottom of the card and lightly sponged the edges of the card with red ink. My son will sign the back of these. It's not easy for me to do a simple card. I thought this came out pretty cute. Don't you? Thanks for the challenge. Have a great day!
Note: I didn't use any cb on the face, it is smooth.
