I just love FLW's architecture and esp. his stained glass window designs. That's why I was happy & surprised when Stef picked my suggestion. I wanted to have this done a lot earlier, but y'all know about best laid plans.
Anyway, I just got these stamps and glitters from Sparkle N Sprinkle so I had to use them. The trees already reminded me of the the stained glass w/ its linear colors. The trees. the sentiment and the diamonds are all stamped w/ Stazon onto acetate. Different glitters were meticulously applied to the back side.
For the trees image, I wanted to maintain the brightness against the dp, so I stamped it again on white paper and cut out all the negative space. I attached this to the back side so the dp wouldn't show thru the trees and sun. Then I added some foam tape and attached it to a piece of the dp. It's raised a little from the dp so it looks more like a window. This is attached to the black, then to yellow dp which was bugged, then to the big dp then to a black card.
The big dp was stamped w/ the diamonds 3 times in 3 colors of ink. It kind of reminded me of the diamond shapes in the window. I attached the sentiment and acetate diamond to dp w/ brads, then to the card. Card measures 6.5 x 5. TFL

Thanks for your suggestion for this challenge. I love his work too, and hope to be able to do something for this challenge later tonight. I just got home from a weekend trip. Great card and TFS.

This card has a very western feel to it that I really love! The glittered trees are just beautiful and REALLY look like stained glass! Awesome challenge, thanks for all the fun!

This is a beautiful card! I love the details and the glitter on the acetate. The fact that you cut out the white cs and layered it to make the window! I own this stamp and will have to try this technique. Thanks so much for sharing the details.
