Beth, you certainly chose a well deserving FS today! Cindy's gallery is full of interesting articles. She is also a great supporter of the community here on SCS! I enjoyed tripping down her gallery, but when I got to this card: This Little Piggy by YLM at Splitcoaststampers I knew I had my challenge! love the piggy.
I kept the layout, changed the stamp and colors. When I spotted this stamp in the clearance bin for .75, I grabbed it! I absolutely love this image (Ken Brown)...and here you have it's debut! I inked it with Archival jet black and embossed in clear. It is colored with Copics, cut and mounted on foam. My idea was to have the piggie rider do a death defying jump through a ring of fire only to stare down upon barbed wire! I fussy cut a scalloped circle to imitate flames. The wood plank bg (Cosmo Cricket Wanted paper) is cuttled with the distressed stripes folder. I used the barbed wire unmounted stamp from Artistic Outpost, embossing in Antiquites RUST. The wonderful label is from a vintage unmounted stamp...I stamped in jet black and embossed in clear. The BDAY is from the $1 Michael's just inked in jet black. I made a tag with the Martha tag pundh added an eyelet and twine and attached it to my pig riders rope. I used MME paper for the blues.
I hope your day is filled with fun, Cindy as you peruse the gallery based on your creations! Thanks so much for inspiring me! and to my commenters, I so appreciate the time you take to view my stuff!!!
