Welcome back Stef, hope you had a blast on your road trip. Thanks to Janice for the inspiration. Funny how I had to come back to sunshine and black after yesterdays limited supplies! My youngest son has loved this color combination since he was a wee one...and I positively destested yellow before his arrival. Now that I live in the Pacific Northwest with so many grey days, I have changed my tune! This was another case of knowing exactly the image I wanted to use ( Impress' distressed floral).
I inked the background onto another of Basic Greys' yellow papers...the time "Lucky" cornsilk. I used Archival black ink. My sentiment is from Impression Obsession. I stamped it with Brilliance black and embossed in clear on vellum. It was cuttled/nessied and then matted onto another piece of cornsilk that had been cut with the rectangle nestability. I popped this on foam. Thought bees should be part of the design so they are also stamped on the cornsilk, cut and stickled the wings with Lace stickle. I used the Fiskar eyelet punch on the edge of the card and wove a hand-dyed silk ribbon through the holes, inked the edge in ChalkBox charcoal and added a narrow strip of the dp on the bottom of the cs.
I adore this quote from Proust...how about you?

Beautiful! Don't you love how kids give us a whole new perspective on color? My Jacob's is orange. Hated orange until he showed me the beauty in it! And.. I love that quote. I had never seen that one before.
