I decided to accept ErikaÂ’s Diva challenge to go thru my stash and dig out some things I havenÂ’t used in a while from multiple companies.
This is one of my favorite pictures of my son with his daughter (MY granddaughter! [grin])about to come down the slide at the pumpkin farm. My son and DIL just bought a new house, and I’m going to frame a copy for my granddaughter’s new room which has some of these colors in it. I used a variety of things I’ve had around a long time: some of the dp, primas I’m been hoarding, the alpha stickers (why don’t they give you apostrophes with those sheets of letters??—I had to cut off the tip of the capital Q to make this one!)
This page took quite a bit of time, because I machine stitched some of the squares on my sewing machine, then had to hand place and adhere all of the squares. I drew a rectangle the size of the photo on my white paper as a guide since the photo couldn’t go on until almost last! The two photo corners I built up by punching multiple layers (using scraps) and adhering them on top of each other. I inked the edges of the two larger flowers, and the center is a letter *J* (for the two in the photo—named Jaycie and Jason!) which I got with a bunch of other stick-ons in Mike’s $1 bin last fall. I picked up the little heart brads recently for some Valentine’s projects.
I’m very happy with how this turned out— I hope my son and DIL are too!
