I took the challenge to create a fall scene using three or more stamps, nice push from Jen to get me to do what has been on my mind for way over a year.
Limits: less embellishing, I really wanted to use a black layer around the image but traded it for dark ink distressing. Allowed only one background image.
-The image is colored with my favoriteÂ…re inkers and artist brush on semi gloss paper. The tree leaves are stamped with the small flowers image of Watercolor Minis. The sky is done with sponge and my hand made sky template.
-The tab is a ¾” square cut corner to corner.
-After tool distressing the edges I also did ink distressing with the direct to paper technique (rub the ink pad right onto the cardstock edge).
-I added length to the path making sure it widened as the scene came closer to the viewer. Using the ground specks from the retired scenery gave the path texture and I also used it on the some of the grass area and distance background.

Roxie, this is super! I have this set but never would I be able to do with it that you did. I love the sunflowers and tall grasses in front. I love how you colored it and the guess flying overhead. I just love everything about it.

What an absolutely wonderful card. I have that stamp set and until recently hadn't thought to color in the image to make it usable for different seasons. I love everything you did with this image and this card. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS.
