| | Today's lesson / challenge was how to paint loose abstract watercolor florals. I watched the video by Emma Lefebrve 4 maybe 5 times - and tried several sample pieces to get the feel of this type of flower since I don't think I've ever actually seen an anemone IRL. What I am realizing is that humidity plays a big part in a lot of these techniques and working in 15% humidity means no matter how much water I put on it dries almost instantly so I struggle to get the blend and flow that I see on so many of your cards . . . Guess that's why I have a "unique" look to my pieces - I have to remember to bring some supplies with me if I ever travel to a more humid area of the country. |
