I am a T-shirt-aholic so my heart was already doing a happy dance when I saw today's Inspiration site was Simply Cute Tees! Typically, I gravitate right to the bright rainbow colored designs but for unknown reasons, today I kept getting dragged back to this Deer Stand design.
My first challenge (other than building the scene) was to find any BROWN in my ink assortment - it's a color I rarely (read as NEVER) use.
I die cut a circle and used it to mask off where I wanted my sun then sponged around it in fossilized amber. Next, I grabbed the Frayed burlap to add in some puffy clouds and ground cover. Trust me when I say Brown hued clouds went against everything in my nature . . . but I wanted to stay true to my inspiration shirt which was after all done in shades of brown . . .
Stamped the Mountains in Gathered Twig then randomly stamped Grass & pines in Royal Blue. Die cut my panel to a useable size and then Sponged around the perimeter with more Royal Blue.
I had as much trouble finding a piece of Brown cardstock to frame my piece as I did ink but finally settled on this piece of rust for framing. Finished with a bold die cut sentiment (Teapot gift from Karen - Redbugdriver) and 3 small white Nuvo drops.
