Our son turns 40 next week!!! That deserves something special. And nothing says celebration like a shaker card full of sequins! I'm adding another card to Lisa's Shake it Up challenge and sneaking this in for this week's Teapot challenge, Year of the Rat. No rats, but I used lots of blue, faux metal, 3 vellum pieces and 2 main images. Old stamps that haven't seen ink in years and old sequins fit Julie's USEIT2020 challenge.
Stamped, colored and fussy cut the fortune teller. Stamped him again on pp and fussy cut to create a robe. Brushed blue and silver ink on the bg and stamped silver stars. Stamped the crystal ball and birthday sentiment, shaded the edges. Die cut three layers of fun foam, glued together with an acrylic sheet, added micro beads and silver star sequins and backed it with the stamped panel to create the shaker. Die cut a vellum frame, sentiment strip and the Lucky Fortune panel. Die cut a silver base. Die cut a vellum star, stamped 40 and adhered to the Lucky Fortune panel. Assembled and added a popped up silver frame to balance the height and some extra star sequins. TFL

This card is amazing! So many fun and interesting elements, all beautifully balanced and each adding an important piece to the whole.
Love the multi-toned blue background you created using distress ink - it adds a mystical touch to this fortune telling themed card.
Looks like you had a ton of fun making this card. Bet this was a big hit with your son! Delightful creation.
