Wow - what a great inspiration site today. I felt so inspired. About the time I started to make my card, my crafting buddy, Lewis, woke up (my 3 year old Grandson). He wanted to paint so I showed him the cotton plaid stocking on this hidden gems page at Joss and Main (I couldn't figure out how to make it come up itself):
and told him to paint it using some nice lines and some water color. He made me an awesome plaid bg. As he continued the paint, the lines got a bit squiggly but I cut the best parts out and used them for this card. We splattered on some white paint to make it look more festive.
I made a great little pine bough grouping with Lewis' help as well. It was all cut out of kraft paper that Lewis painted green for me and then I painted on some thick red on the berries. We found some old berries in my stash and used them to finish off the greens. Next came the splatter of Snowtex and we were done.
Fun morning - thanks for the inspiration!

Beautiful Christmas card with a warm, country feeling, Nancy. Think the plaid in the traditional red/green gives it that feeling to me. Love the falling snow and the snow-encrusted greenery spray.
