This one's an August birthday card for one of my husband's sisters. I found seven SCS challenges to enter:
1) FS604 - Featured Stamper/ Greeting Cards in a Row (aka Nancy Sheads aka RowhouseGreetings) - 9/2/18. I chose this card from Nancy's fun gallery for its layout: Baby Welcome to the World. Same: I used a focal circle and a lacy underlying mat as did Nancy, but mine is a sentiment focal focus rather than an image. Changes: a sentiment focus not an image focus; no easel card, changed color scheme and theme. My horizontal panel is a single band with narrow ribbon band, not multiple, overlapping fishtail banners; it's a birthday rather than a baby card. I also added a left-side vertical band and some scattered sequins.
2) WORD0818 - Monthly Fan Club--August 2018/ Alphabet Soup - 8/15/18. Fits theme: all about the three-color focal sentiment. For WORD Challenge ABCS = A=Adhesives; B=Birthday, Bermuda Bay Blue; C=Circles; S=Strips, stamped, satin ribbon.
3) AOCC18AUG - All Occasions Card Challenge/ August 2018. An ongoing/monthly challenge encourages you to set goals ahead for each month to help you complete and mail your cards more timely! This is a much needed birthday card for my sister-in-law's August birthday.
4) USEIT2018 - Use It Challenge/ August 2018. An ongoing/ annual challenge that requires you to use OLD/ DUSTY and long unused items and/or OLD/NEW items purchased, never used, and seemingly forgotten! NEW/OLD: stamp/ dies purchased in early 2018 and just being opened and used.
5) IC660 - Inspiration Challenge/ Plow & Hearth - 7/28/18. I chose the "Confetti Wind Spinner-Antique" as my inspiration for its colorful primary colors, circles, spots: [COLOR= #008080}Confetti Wind Spinner![/COLOR].
6) DDAB9ABC11K - Alphabet Challenge--Round 9/ Letter K - 5/2/18. My letter K is for Key Lime for the color of Key Lime Pie used for my cardbase and sentiment circle die-cut. It also goes for the double challenge "key"...using the word "key" in the name of the color from the computer color chart...Key Lime = #e8f48c. I'm reeeeallllly stretching that one...right!?
7) MMTPT505 - Teapot Challenge/ We Are Seeing Spots! - 3/3/18. I have lots of the required spots on my card! I'm late to the party, as I was out with knee surgery...so this card will be a birthday card for my sister-in-law.
