Lisa is this week's WTUI hostess, her fun challenge is Bug's Life. I love these Crafty Secret stamps, they remind me of illustrations from an old children's book.
I used the Vintage Watercolor technique for these cute bugs. I stamped them in Tea Dye, then added additional tones with a waterbrush, brown marker and Distress inks. Sponged ink around the edges of the image panel and pp strips. Layered the papers and added a wood hello and typewriter. I added a strip of newspaper ribbon to the typewriter as the finishing touch. This card looks like it jumps right out of a vintage story book! Lovely sepia look with GREAT coloring. Your wood elements are the perfect addition, plus that GREAT newspaper ribbon....hmmm....envious!

I missed this while we were away. I was tickled to see it! I had a RAK of that image which I wanted to use for VSN, but I'm still waiting to unearth it from wherever it got buried on my desk. Perfect image for Lisa's challenge and great to use with the vintage watercolour technique.
