Combining 2 fun challenges: MIX - your fave technique and F4A use your fave stamp of 2017. My fave stamp is almost always most recent so this little Hugs stamp is it. It is actually part of a larger greeting but I cut it out because it is one of my favorite words. Did you know that for good health everyone needs at least 5 hugs a day? I may have my number wrong, but it makes good sense doesn't it?
My fave technique of 2017 is making these fun eggs and bacon.
To make the bacon cut a bacon strip out of white paper kind of curvy like bacon. Paint some red/brown stripes. Then cover with a THICK coat of Gel Medium and heat it up until the gel is bubbling. Let dry. Repeat until you get the look and feel you want. I did 4 coats on this one and had to repaint my stripes after layer 2.
To make the egg, cut out a fried egg shape. Paint a yellow circle. Cover the yellow circle with a THICK coat of gel medium and heat up until one big or two big bubbles. Let dry. Then cover the whole egg with gel medium adding a bit more in the middle. Heat with your gun until it bubbles all over. I did two coats for this egg.
Warnings: Use tweezers to hold your papers while heating. Do in well ventilated area or outside or while wearing a mask. Don't let the paper catch on fire.
Cover the edges with a bit of TH Walnut stain or SU! Chocolate chip to get a bit of fried color.
Covered my crumb cake layer with a splatter of coffee using a brush.
Many hugs and Happy New Years!!!

I just HAD to revisit this card, Nancy. I sent it to the person who sent me the Pinterest link as well as the Irish coffee one you did recently. Lady, you are OFF the charts in how to create things. ( I'm still lurking in your gallery! )
