I found this image on our inspiration site and the colors reminded me of a glowing light against a winter sky...http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/...33852450.jsp#/... and so of course I needed to sponge a scene – one of my favorite techniques! This also fits our F4A305 challenge to somehow represent a favorite holiday or winter tradition. My extended family goes caroling every year on the Sat before Christmas and one of my favorite parts of the event is seeing the pretty winter neighborhood at night lit up by street lights as well as house decorations. So pretty….I am a big fan of Heather Telford’s work and have read and watched her scene tutorials. If you like this look, I would highly recommend checking out her blog.
Splattered masking fluid splatters for snow on the wc cs and let dry. I masked for the snowdrifts and sky - sponging the sky, shadows and lamp light with distress inks. Stamped the street lamp, trees, branches (colored the branches with markers to get 2 colors) and sentiment. Added some white gel pen to add more snow in the sky. Added some stickles to the red berries. Had so much fun making this card!

Oh this is so perfect for those who have birthdays on Christmas!! I have to remember this - as I have a couple of cousins whose birthdays fall on Christmas Day. Love your card and the beautiful scenery you created - a true masterpiece!!
