Shopping Vera Bradley in my 'jams'! What a pleasurable past time, Audrie. Thanks for the inspiring challenge this week. I love VB's pattern play and colors. I chose Rosewood.
The stencil is from TCW. I sprayed Perfect Pearls on top of the white PTIcs. The pocketbook (Southern, ya'll for purse) is Dawn Houser's image for Inkadinkadoo. It is a solid. I stamped it with VersaMark onto the floral DP from Basic Grey, embossing in clear. I carefully fussy cut the purse and carved out the arm to slip the purse onto the girl. The sentiment from B Line Designs was stamped onto black Basic Grey DP and embossed with the Shell White ep. I cut the Emerson quote and placed it along the pocketbook. I love cutting phrases like this...I think it makes the reader slow down to ponder the message. The tiny crystal heart was the finishing touch.
Hope you enjoyed your walk through Vera Bradley today and were inspired to create something meaningful. I know for me, I want the biggest pocketbook I can manage these days...cause you just never know where you're gonna find the beautiful! Thanks so much for your warm welcomes back and your comments.

What a great concept for a card! Very clever, making everything but the purse, the jeweled heart and the sentiment almost (but not quite) invisible!

Oh my gosh, this is amazing. I have safely tucked this away on my Pinterest board (twice actually, once on 'cards not mine' board and once on my favourite pinterest board, 'weirdo arty stuff I love'!!! Everything about this is fabulous Susan. I didn't know a pocket book was also called a purse. We call it a handbag and a purse is a ladies wallet that goes inside the handbag. I learn something new everyday here.
