This is for Judy's great technique challenge - stamped acrylic block background.
I have stamped this girl many times and tried several backgrounds, so far nothing really worked...until now. Thanks to Judy, I am thrilled to bits and can't wait to use the same technique for all my Unity girls backgrounds.
I smacked Iced Spruce distress ink onto an acrylic block, squirted water on it and then banged it a couple of times on the cardstock. I got a bit carried away with the water so I picked up a baby wipe and gently dabbed the cardstock...the babywipe had some red ink on it and a tiny hint of red can be seen in the background.
After everything was nice and dry, I used MISTI stamping tool to stamp the girl. Before adhereing to the card, I lightly inked around the edge. The sentiment was partially stamped on the image background to tie everything in together.
Thank you for looking. Wishing everyone a happy week.

Susie, this is an amazing card - the bg has a watercolor effect though I know you used an acrylic block and the pops of colour are just perfect - the sketchy style of this stamp and the loose handwritten/typewritten fonts of the sentiment make for a very arty look - love it, you can bet you've got quite a few people popping over to order this image or ones like it!!!

I would never have dreamed that iced spruce would give that gorgeous, soft, pale green-gray! How beautiful your background is and LOVE that image on it. I love that you only colored a bit with the red, really making this image stand out so beautifully! I just spied my next background color! Right into favorites! (Strange, no notification)
