This is my second project for the IC472 challenge. I was inspired by the Shoe Box Dioramas. I have made many winter scenes like this but never thought to put one in a box. I had an empty Russell Stover Chocolate Covered Cherry box (I have no idea how it got empty) : ) and thought I would try my hand creating a diorama with the Bendi snow drifts and trees inside the box. There are four layers of crimped ground snow inside. The back section is attached to the back of the box with double layer of mounting tape. As I attached the layers coming forward I cut each one just a tad wider than the one before which allowed there to be a larger bend with each one. I attached each one to the one behind it with double layers of mounting tape attached on each side.
I applied glue to all the trees and pine sprigs and sprinkled with white flower soft. All the trees were attached with layers of mounting tape. I colored the bunnies and tucked them into the scene attaching with mounting tape. The cardinals were added to bring a festive touch of red to the scene.
I'll send this to my wonderful MIL. I have sent her Christmas houses, Christmas villages, and all kind of flower and scene cards and she keeps all of them on her entertainment center all year long. It touches my heart. I know she will love this diorama.
