This is my sample for today's TLC challenge ~ TLC509 Layered Die-Cuts
I pretty much used the layered gesso background tutorial for my base, with the added twist that when it came to adding some stencilling, I used glitter ~ see the Glittered Stencilling tutorial here.
Gessoed my base, stamped French Script. Added cream, green and blue acrylic paints, smooshing them in with my fingers. I stamped the sentiment, and then laid the stencil down so that the smallest circles would be where my flower head was going to be. I used clear modelling paste and sprinkled glitters on.
When dry, I stamped the grasses with Forest Moss distress ink and sponged the edges with Walnut Stain.
The bunny is sponged with distress inks. For the flower stem, it's diecut from a scrap from my box of various backgrounds, and coated with several layers of clear EP. I added Iridescent Ice to the flower head only for the last layer.
I have a lovely one with glitter as a reject in my scrap box, because the glitter just merged in too much with the background.
Have fun playing along today.
