For today's IC challenge, and for yesterday's MIX60 challenge.
I went with the 4th of Audrie's thumbs, since it was a good opportunity to use Swallowtail, which DH got me for Christmas.
I have more printed numbers than words, since I used what looks like an old logarithmic table book and a Polish mathematics book, but there is actual text on the layered butterfly wings.
I gessoed two book pages and left them to dry while I made orange, cranberry and pecan muffins for our brunch ;-).
Stamped the butterfly twice and coloured with re-inkers. I painted a rough frame around the edge with brown acrylic paint, but then decided to add some gilding flakes ~ Copper Thunder picked up on my butterfly colours and also made me think of a real butterfly wing. The green layer of wings is popped up. I added some Stickles to the butterfly, and finished it off with a Verve sentiment.

I don't even know where to begin telling you how gorgeous this is! This has to be one of my favorite versions of the swallowtail I've ever seen - just fantastic! I love the leafed border, too, it's perfect. This is about a twenty on a scale of one to ten!
