Congrats to Tina, the newest Featured Stamper! I spent a really long time in her wonderful gallery and finally selected THIS to case. I kept the colors and white on black bg, but I made mine a chalkboard, used different images & a different layout.
I stamped the wonderful quote with white chalk ink onto black card stock. I used a white gel pen to highlight the frame & letter K then used a sponge and a very light touch to add some chalk dust to the background. The half sun image was stamped on white, colored with Copics & trimmed around the rays to insert the chalkboard underneath. The black grid layer is a left over from a painted grid tech ( TLC235 ) using white acrylic paint & drywall mesh. A few die cut buttons were stacked and added to the corner. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.
Congrats again, Tina, enjoy your week! Thanks so much for looking! It's also on my blog w/ the colors of Copics I used: The Write Stuff

Julie, I've loved your work for a long time (yes, I quietly stalk *laughing*). You've created another wonderful card for our FS, Tina, with this lovely chalkboard inspiration design. And thank you for linking to the painted grid tutorial. I also like the idea of the buttons and feel they represented the three little rosebuds from Tina's card. Fantastic job!
I'd also like to thank you for your warm welcome and the kind words you leave when you visit my gallery. It's always so nice to see you there, Julie. I'm honored and humbled to join the ranks of the Dirty Dozen.
