For today's MIX50 challenge (gosh, is it really almost a year already!!!), to use pencils with alcohol markers.
As I mentioned in the challenge thread my markers consist of 10 Sharpies in very bright strong colours and no shades, so I had to choose my image carefully. And for a challenge from Anna - what better than one of her designs ;-).
I stamped on Bristol Board and coloured with Sharpies, then added shading first with the Polychromos, but I find the Couleur d'Art pencils are a bit waxier so even though I only have a small colour range in them too, I pulled them out. Finished of with some Stickles and a white gel pen, and added a sentiment after die-cutting. Green layer embossed and sanded, and the lattice is actually the waxed paper remnant from the first time I tried cutting the die. I added a matching bright turquoise butterfly to finish it off.
And for the F4A challenge - well, I won't post this today because I'm not going back out in the rain, and we have no Saturday collection but on Monday it will go in the mail to brighten someone's day. The person I am sending this to usually gets one pulled from my stash ;-).
