This is my card for this week’s color challenge #452. I am your hostess and have chosen the 5 colors in the SU “winter frost” dsp collection of island indigo, bermuda bay, coastal cabana, smoky slate and pool party. Our dessert this week is a buffet-so you can choose whatever you want and let us know.
I am using this weekÂ’s MojoMonday #319 sketch for my card layout.
My striped bg dsp is from the SU “winter frost” collection. There are so many beautiful patterns in the collection. I layered it with bermuda bay and my card base is coastal cabana.
The MOJO sketch has a large circle in it so I used the SU set “festive flurries” and matching dies. I stamped the snowflakes in island indigo, pool party, and smoky slate. I popped up each layer for dimension.
The pennant flag is cut in bermuda bay and I used an old SU rub-on for my sentiment. To complete my card, I added a layer of pool party seam binding and island indigo ribbon over that. Tied a double bow with a silver pearl center. This is also my dessert option this week.
Hope you can play along this week, We are having a contest in search of our next guest hostess and guest designers.
Accessories: festive flurry dies, pool party seam binding, island indigo ribbon, Spellbinders Matting Basics A & B and pennant flag dies, SU rub-ons, silver pearls

Love your double-bow with rhinestone. I count 10 layers on this WOW! card. Beautiful snowy creation! I think that rectangle layer really allows the focal point to be the main feature, and yet creates distance from the background. Beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful, Mary. You have showcased the SU new colors and products wonderfully with this creation. The color palette in this DSP is a refreshing change from the traditional red and green with a great elegance about it. Your banners and lovely bow all add up to a fantastic design.
