This week our cards are going off to a little boy by the name of James. He's 3 yrs. young and is dealing with some pretty major medical issues.
Turns out that James loves pirates and dogs.
Well, every good (or bad) pirate needs a hat, so that's what I did this week. But, I also included the dog too! Since I live in the same city as Snoopy, what better dog to represent all dogs than Joe Cool and his sidekick Woodstock!
Now I know the hat has a skull and crossbones on it, but it just wouldn't be a pirate hat without them. So if I have to sneak in the back door, well that's all right with me, cuz I have Joe Cool and Woodstock at my side!
I sure hope this hat fits James. This is the third one I made, the first being too small and the second, well that's even a bit too big for the DH. I would have used the DGS for sizing, since he's 3 too, but he won't be over until tomorrow. But I do have enough material left over to make a hat for him. So Grandpa and DGS can wear them while playing with their trains.
So to James I say, arrrrr! Get well dear child!
I'm sorry for the bad color quality, Woodstock is yellow. It's a strange weather day here today. Smoke and clouds mixed together don't make for good photos!

You can't get much cooler than Joe Cool. The pirate hat... priceless! Little James will have some extra courage wearing that hat while he's recovering. Wonderful idea and execution.

I love your Snoopy card with cute little Woodstock. What an awesome frame or bg you have created. You do such neat and original stuff. Cool pirate's hat too. You really are a generous and lovely person. I bet James loves his hat.
