I came into card-making from the digital end, and at first I didn't do a lot of stamping - I used a lot of iris folding, made my own 3D toppers and so on. And I dry-embossed a lot with my Fiskars Shape-Boss and texture plates using a stylus. But as Holly has titled the challenge this week "stamping nostalgia" I thought I'd better stamp . Getting on with my Christmas cards was a good way to pull out old fancy eyelets, too.
5 3/4" square base. Brown and red Bazzill for layering.
I took white card and masked the bottom part off with a torn Post-it, then scraped a chalk pastel over it and brushed it upwards to create a night sky. After spraying with fixative I removed the Post-it, stamped the trees and sponged in the foreground. Bird stamped with markers. I added snowflake eyelets and a See-D's sentiment, distressed the edges and layered.

Normally I think those eyelet look dated -- at least when I open my drawer and see them. You found a way to make them new! They are a perfect touch. You somehow made a sparse snow scene warm and nostalgic. What a talent!
