Today's Color Challenge includes two shades of green and a very light tan. I made this card in honor of the miracle of peace God has given this province of Northern Ireland - 26 years ago when I came to live here from the States this country was in the throes of political violence and strife which was always referred to locally as "the troubles" and many families we know lost loved ones. At that time it was inconceivable to imagine that any of the sides would put down their arms....yet they have! Not every problem is solved, but we're experiencing a level of peace here that can only be described as a miracle and everyone is very thankful! So when you watch the news and see terrible violence in far away countries...pray - He listens!
I stitched the rolling green hills and in order to stick closely to the color combo I used a color similar to River Rock to sponge the sky. I ran the same ink pad over the embossing to add definition and bordered the card edges with a MS punch which slightly resembles a Celtic shape. I love making 3-D grass and my card honoring Northern Ireland had to have some! Finished with two punched butterflies.

Beautiful! Love that Irish blessing and your stitching is fabulous. I can't imagine living around that kind of violence and it's truly a blessing that some of it has ended. Even though my mom's family is Irish, I've never been there, though my mom has several times and loves it there.

So beautiful, Bridget. I loved your story and am so happy that everyone is now living in peaceful harmony, may it always be so. Some day I will come for a visit to your beautiful country. Both of my grandmothers were Irish so I have always had a special place in my heart for Ireland.
