Sheesh, talk about a tough challenge for the tea-party this week. No heart images, no angel images and not much teal here. But I do have blue, even if it isn't teal, and butterflies have wings. And as Cindy says, who needs extra cookies at this time of year, so I don't feel I'm missing out by bending the very flexible *rules* a bit.
A2 base. I embossed and sanded the blue layer, cut out the heart aperture with a Fiskars Shape Cutter and then laid it on the white base and marked where to cut the aperture in the base. Stuck them together and added Liquid Pearl drops all round the edge of the card and the aperture.
I marked the opening on an A2 piece of Bristol Board and stamped the chicory from Faith with masking. Coloured with distress inks and added some Stickles to the centres of the flowers.
I stamped the butterfly on a scrap of paper, coloured with distress inks and cut out. After adding Stickles to the wing tips I stuck it to the outside of the card.
This is also for the current ODBD challenges - SLC #90 and Stamping in Time #50.

Absolutely beautiful, Sabrina - I've always loved the look of sanding the coordinations paper, I need to try that - I love how you incorporated your heart, with a frame window for these lovely flowers! No damage here with the winds, but it was a NOISY night!

I really do love the way you add borders to your cards, in this case with the liquid pearls. You always give it such a finished look. The sanded embossing here is lovely and adds such a nice frame for the heart. And that would have to be the perfect color for the chicory!
