Wendy gave us the challenge to make a card for someone with their likes, hobbies, intersts in mind. This is a birthday card for my dear Aunt who will celebrate her 94th birthday next month. She is very prim and proper and loves all things floral and feminine.
Trish chose Joan Ervin for our "Queen for the Day". Joan has brought us a bevy of new techniques every Monday morning. I chose to use the one she introduced June 28, 2010 called "Pounded Flowers" for TLC279. One smashes flowers/vegetation through one's Cuttlebug. I had some greenish hydrangeas still on the bushes so I used them, The first time I did this for Joan's challenge, I used pink and lavender hydrangeas and got more beige tones. This time I did get more greens. I think this technique creates the most beautiful and intertesting bg.
Congratulations, Joan.......and thank you for all the wonderful techniques you have introduced us to.

Wow, yours turned out so beautiful!! (sigh)
That is one technique I tried also, and I love the way the colors all change a little when you roll them through the Big Shot! Some of the most wonderful results can occur when you least expect - Thanks for honoring Joan with this card!
