Heavensent(Collette), continuing on with the WT Challenges for September with "Back-to-School" supplies, gave us the theme of "Bookmark".
I am an avid reader and value my books and those of others......that being said, I would NEVER use a thick, multi-layered bookmark that could cause the pages to spread permanently. That is why I chose heavy weight vellum for my bookmark. It should be sturdy enough to last for quite a while. The ribbons make it easy to find and they hang outside of the closed book.
This will be a holiday card for one of my fellow "reading" friends.

Never thought of using vellum for a bookmark. That is a terrific idea, Sallie. And your bookmark/card is beautiful - love the winter feel with the snowflakes gently falling off the edge, perfect for Christmas.
